Walking with the Sacred Triad

This page introduces the Sacred Triad I work with in my spiritual practice: Hecate, Thoth, and Anubis. For me, they are not distant gods to be worshiped literally, but powerful archetypes — forces our ancestors named to embody transformation, wisdom, and passage. Together, they represent guardians of liminality: guiding us through thresholds, illuminating hidden truths, and protecting the soul’s journey.

At the center of this triad is always Hecate — her torches lighting the way, her keys opening hidden doors, her presence anchoring every step. Thoth steadies the path through sacred words and wisdom, while Anubis offers clarity and justice in the shadowed places. In walking with them, I seek to create a practice rooted in compassion, inclusion, and empowerment — one that helps others navigate their own thresholds with courage and care.

My Journey

My path began with Hecate — first as a Torchbearer and then as a Keybearer in the Covenant of Hekate. In her, I found the archetype of fierce protection, the mother shielding her young, and the catalyst for transformation. In Hecate Brimo, terrible and wrathful, I see destruction as the first step toward renewal. When my sanctuary was lost, her fire guided me to refocus and reshape my path.

That commitment remains at the heart of my practice today. I carry her torches, bear her keys, and share her wisdom wherever it is needed. My vow to be a vessel of her strength, to use her energy for advocacy, transformation, and empowerment, and to serve as a beacon for those navigating the shadows.

From this foundation, Hecate’s light revealed new companions who walk alongside her — Thoth, the keeper of sacred wisdom, and Anubis, the guardian of the soul’s passage. Together they form a triad of liminal power, always through the lens of Hecate, whose presence remains the axis of my devotion.

Hecate: Guardian of the Crossroads

Hecate is the heart of this path — goddess of thresholds, bearer of torches, and wielder of keys. She stands at the crossroads of past, present, and future, guiding those who seek transformation. Her anger becomes fuel for justice; her protection a shield for those most in need.

Thoth: Keeper of Sacred Words

Where Hecate opens the way, Thoth records and preserves the wisdom found there. The scribe of the gods, inventor of language, and arbiter of cosmic balance, Thoth ensures that truth is not lost and that knowledge becomes a tool of transformation. His presence complements Hecate’s keys, giving voice and structure to the mysteries she reveals.

Anubis: Guardian of the Soul

Anubis stands at the threshold of life and death, protector of tombs and guide of souls. Where Hecate lights the way through shadow, Anubis ensures justice and balance in the passage beyond. He lends his strength to shadow work, helping us confront truths within ourselves with courage and clarity.

Where They Converge

Though born of different cultures, these three meet in their shared role as guardians of liminality — guides through thresholds, keepers of wisdom, and protectors of the soul’s transformation. In my practice, they form a Sacred Triad, always with Hecate as the flame at the center, the one through whom all wisdom and transformation flow.

At the heart of my devotion burns the fire of Hecate,
torch-bearer, key-holder, fierce protector at the crossroads.
Through her light, I walk with Thoth, whose sacred words steady my steps,
and with Anubis, whose shadowed guidance strengthens my resolve.

Together, they remind me that transformation comes through passage,
that wisdom must be spoken, and that justice must be honored.
